Impact Monitoring and Programme Assessment for Children of the Tsunami

I.M.P.A.C.T. Field Monitors training package

Welcome to the I.M.P.A.C.T. Field Monitoring Network.

We hope you will enjoy the work you carry out on behalf of UNICEF. It is our hope that in addition to supporting UNICEF, your work with I.M.P.A.C.T will also provide you with an opportunity to get familiar with the development initiatives going on in your community, and will provide you with added skills that may assist you with future employment.

This training package is designed to provide you with background information that will help you to carry out monitoring assignments. The information covered in this package will also be covered in the two-day induction training. Please ensure you read the manual thoroughly and use it as a reference whenever you are in doubt or need clarification. The modules have been kept brief for you to understand the concept that you ‘need to know’ to be able to carry out monitoring. Your work will support all programme areas of UNICEF, but particularly the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team. The M&E team consists of Sherine Guirguis (M&E Specialist), Joshua Kakaire (M&E Officer), and Mohamed Shahir (Monitoring Officer).

Should you have any questions or require any further information or clarification on the material in the training package, please do not hesitate to contact Joshua Kakaire, M&E Officer (Mobile: 7683708).

Welcome on board, we look forward to working with you!
